Abstract:
An athletic shoe (or other article of clothing) has a pocket formed therein, and
an interchangeable unitary assembly is slidably received within the pocket and is
retained therein by means of a flap carried by the shoe. The interchangeable unitary
assembly preferably comprises a molded plastic card having a battery, microchip,
speaker and on/off switch encapsulated therein and electrically connected together.
A push (or "press") button is carried by the shoe and overlays the switch
when the card is received in the pocket. The push button may be pushed to close
the switch, so as to energize the microchip from the and generate an audible signal.
One example of the audible signal is an inspirational message (such as "have
a happy face, stay away from drugs").

A new improved universal, perspiration-absorbing headband having additional absorbent
bands attached on the top and sides to form different designs for 30 to 40% more
sweat absorption than a regular headband with a little bit more comfort and style.
The entire headband is completely absorbent and elastic all the way through its
circumference and made with several different textiles. The stripes of fabric band
(s) are attached to sides within the center of the encircling headband. The extra
band (s) coming from the top attached to the sides make the D-BAND safer to wear
than a regular headband. The band (s) help keep the D-BAND more stable or in place
around the forehead area and prevent the D-BAND from sliding down into the eyes.

DBANDS
DBANDS was created by Vincent E. Norment who wanted to find a solution to a serious
problem with young athletes suffering a concussion from head injuries. He worked
diligently to find an answer to create a head barrier against conventional head
injuries and for controlling perspiration for fellow sports enthusiast.
During that time he also noticed basketball players performance suffered because
of their vision was compromised by headband sliding down over their eyes from incidental
contact and sweat from a regular headband. After much research, he decided to re-design
the headband, filed a Patent Design and started DBANDS, Inc.
DBANDS are designer synergy headbands and caps. The name DBANDS was taken from the
word HEADBANDS in short term. So this marks the first improvement on the headband
and cap in over fifty years. DBANDS are designed to maintain their position over
the forehead area, making them comfortable and easy to wear. Our extra absorbent
materials prevent sweat from reaching the eyes, resulting in better performance.
